KC Wizards vs Houston
- Houston's b2b home losses to SJ and Toronto have all but eliminated them from playoff contention and only hope now is to stay out of the MLS cellar for 2010. Just an amazingly bad season they had but after selling or losing nearly every playmaker in the past 3 years a rebuilding season was in store. They have won just ONE league match since May and are a disaster on the road, 0-1-7 4/19, since May and now have to play the 2nd hottest team in the league, KC. Huge week for KC as they will play 3 games in 7 days but this match and Saturday's match will be at home after beating Chivas USA away on Sunday night. Their only loss since mid-July was a tough beat 1-0 loss away to SJ when they had 2 goals disallowed on set pieces and missed several times alone on the keeper. They've lost just once in 10 games overall and have not allowed more than 1 goal in any of them. They are 6 points behind Seattle, but with two games in hand, for the final playoff spot and this is a MUST win match against a brutal Houston team but they've not beaten Houston in 4.5 years posting a 0-3-6 record overall and 0-1-3 at home. But this KC team is far more formidable than any of those other years and Houston far worse so h2h not a big deal IMO. Mentally, Houston will be dead for this match after allowing a 94th minute winner to Toronto and even their coach just said the season is over...“The season’s over,” Kinnear said. “The way we’re playing, we are not going to do it. It’s sad to say it, but it is a reality.” I'm not 100% sure but I believe this is my biggest bet of the season so far.
